You're Invited: Abundance League, Thurs. 2/28 @ 6pm
This month Chun Yu will be facilitating a discussion about culture, personal transformation, and her work in film and print. This should be a fascinating evening as we explore the experiences of an incredibly passionate and perceptive scientist and artist who experienced one of the most tumultuous periods of modern Chinese history first hand.
Chun Yu is the author of LITTLE GREEN: Growing Up During the Chinese Cultural Revolution, an award-winning memoir in free verse. She began writing during her postdoctoral fellowship in biomedical engineering in a Harvard-MIT joint program. She is currently working on two books that continue the story of Little Green, a historical graphic novel about Mao, and a film project set in World War II and after in China. She also works as a consultant connecting biotech and medical device industries to China. Chun Yu will be talking about her transition from a scientist to a writer and filmmaker, the projects she is working on, and growing up during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
More information about Chun Yu and her book can be found on her website: www.chunyu.org
I hope you will join us on the 28th. And as always, please come prepared to tell us about your passions, discuss your needs, and share your gifts so that we can support each other in leading inspired lives.
